The main event for the 90th year birthday year is going to be a sit down meal with guest speaker to be held in the autumn.
Hopefully we will be in a position to give more details in a few weeks as to date, cost, venue, etc so keep your eye on this thread and the website.
We are hopeful of getting someone very well known in cycling to be the guest speaker which will make for a very good evening, this will also be the presentation evening for the 2012 award winners.
During the summer it is hoped to stage a 90 mile / 90 Km ride. This will either be run as a Sportive or as a Reliability Ride. Again further details should be forthcoming shortly.
Plans are also in hand to produce a retro style club jersey based on the earliest jersey we can find pictures of, which is from the early 50's. It will be in the colours of the time which were turquoise and black. There will be only one order of these jerseys, so if you want to be considered for one please let us know in the next week or two.
A history booklet is also planned to be produced which will coincide with the Dinner. |
